‘Beached Whale and Skyscraper’: Two Poems

BEACHED WHALE

The black fender of a car;

a thousand plastic bags that tried

to become (new) lungs.

SKYSCRAPER

At night

a thousand furious eyes.

Blank in the day,

revealing nothing.
